The main problem identified by the participant population of the project is the prevailing gender inequality, linked to the high rate of violence against women, generated by machismo attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate traditional gender roles in the family and organizational structures.<\/p>\n

Some of the causes contributing to this problem include: the expression of masculinity through machismo attitudes and violent behaviors within the family; women’s submission and fear of exercising their right to participation; lack of awareness of regulations, procedures, and reporting pathways for situations of violence; and the reproduction of machismo behaviors and violent attitudes by male adolescents in educational settings.<\/p>\n
