Justification<\/h2>\n

The proposal for this second phase responds to the urgent need to continue and reinforce the actions developed through the project \u201cBuilding resilient livelihoods to guarantee food security and protect the environment from a gender perspective in the municipality of San Ignacio de Velasco\u201d<\/em> during its first stage in 2023\u20132024. This new intervention process will take into account the difficulties that still persist and address the environmental crisis and gender-based violence.<\/p>\n

Objectives<\/h2>\n

General objective:<\/strong> Improve the socioeconomic and environmental situation of Chiquitana women by providing solutions adapted to the context of San Ignacio de Velasco.<\/p>\n

Specific objective:<\/strong> Promote sustainable food security in response to the environmental crisis and gender-based violence through risk management, efficient natural resource management, empowerment, and the strengthening of women-led enterprises.<\/p>\n

  • Participatory development of risk maps to identify, assess, and manage potential risks affecting communities.<\/li>\n

  • Strengthening workshops on agroecological techniques, use of organic fertilizers, and natural pest control.<\/li>\n
  • Implementation of agroforestry practices and family nurseries for forestry and fruit production.<\/li>\n
  • Distribution of seedlings within the productive system as an immediate response to reforest areas affected by environmental disasters, including forest and fruit seedlings, along with continuous technical assistance to families.<\/li>\n
  • Strengthening the production of agricultural crops and family vegetable gardens, and innovation of 15 gardens with drip irrigation and moisture sensors.<\/li>\n
  • Workshops on nutritional food education and healthy eating practices.<\/li>\n
  • Community food fairs to promote the consumption of healthy and nutritious foods among the general population.<\/li>\n
  • Training workshops on artisanal recycling techniques and product design.<\/li>\n
  • Training in digital marketing and the use of social media.<\/li>\n
