This project will address the absence of awareness-raising programs on sanitation and hygiene, low appreciation of the importance of sanitation and hygiene, insufficient investment in sanitation (latrines), little encouragement and promotion of participation, a lack of organization based on sanitation, a low level of prioritization of community needs, the extra time that women invest in caring for sick children, the increased workload for women, greater vulnerability to diseases, underdeveloped skills for recognizing the rights of the population, organizational capabilities and coordination with local authorities.<\/p>\n

Overall Goal:<\/strong> Contributing to the full exercise of the right to sanitation, health and participation to achieve a dignified standard of living for the women and men of the El Paisnal municipality.<\/p>\n Specific Goal:<\/strong> Safeguarding the right to sanitation, health and the participation of 420 people (221 women, 199 men), with a focus on gender and environmental and further their empowerment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Drafting a manual for the use and maintenance of family dry compost latrines (FDCL), where the contributions of male and female users are recorded.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Training sessions on promoting basic sanitation and hygienic habits, FDCL use and maintenance and environmental conservation, with daycare services to enable women to \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 participate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Designing a campaign to promote hygienic habits, the rational use of water and environmental management aimed at a minimum of 25 girls and 25 boys
