The first phase of the program carried out from 2017 to 2020 must be consolidated. There is an increased need and demand of peasant families for a second phase in order to bolster the production structure, empowerment and economic autonomy of women in the production associations of rural districts 6 and 7 in the Sucre municipality, with a focus on sovereignty and gender equality in times of COVID-19, by means of the following: Increasing agroecological production; -Bolstering marketing mechanisms for the associations’ agroecological products; -Designating locations for public and private activities, the activities of peasant social organizations for management and having an impact on public policies involving local economic development; – Training men to play a more useful role in times of COVID-19; -Enhancing the capabilities of peasant families to successfully confront the COVID-19 pandemic and biosecurity measures in order to bolster social resilience.<\/p>\n
