Justification<\/h2>\n

The crime of human trafficking is one of the serious human rights violations, considered one of the most profitable crimes worldwide, after arms trafficking and drug trafficking, due to factors such as unemployment, bad economic situation , lack of educational opportunities, weakness in health centers, demand for cheap labor.<\/p>\n

According to the Global Report on Human Trafficking, published by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) 2020, it is mentioned that the number of girls and boys among victims of trafficking has tripled in the last 15 years; being children used for forced labor and girls being trafficked for sexual exploitation, highlighting in the profile of the victims women and girls as the main targets of human trafficking.<\/p>\n

The economic recession caused by the coronavirus pandemic directly implies the risk of the crime of trafficking in persons, due to the increase in the needs of the population as a result of increased unemployment.<\/p>\n
