The population participating in the project has a high degree of vulnerability linked to their low socioeconomic status and 80% belonging to various indigenous ethnic groups (Moje\u00f1os, Itonamas, Cayubabas, Movimas …) who suffer double discrimination and triple in this case. of being a woman. In addition, they present problems due to the high degree of malnutrition, mainly in boys and girls, as well as high morbidity and mortality rates, with predominance of acute respiratory conditions.<\/p>\n
Given the vulnerability of these families, in this project they try to reinforce in a special way the so-called DESC (Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) that speak of such basic issues for human dignity as food, health, housing, work , education and water. More specifically, the basic right to adequate food is to be guaranteed. And all this from an empowerment of the people themselves that allows them to live and organize autonomously, without dependencies and becoming aware of the right to equality between men and women.<\/p>\n
With this project it will be possible to access fish meat for consumption by beneficiary families and thus improve their nutrition, guaranteeing the basic right to food, advancing the general objective of strengthening the food sovereignty of these communities.
