Justification

Poverty, lack of adequate educational resources, and the need for children to contribute economically to their households negatively affect the academic performance and holistic development of children in peri-urban and rural areas of Sucre municipality. This situation increases the risk of school dropout and poor academic achievement, perpetuating cycles of poverty and social exclusion. In this context, the lack of academic support emerges as a pressing challenge that must be addressed.

Objectives

General Objective: To help guarantee the right to education for vulnerable girls and boys in peri-urban and rural areas of Sucre municipality through the Mobile School initiative.

Specific Objective: To strengthen the educational role of the Mobile School as a safe and inclusive space where vulnerable children receive academic reinforcement, socio-emotional guidance, and nutritious meals—thus promoting their right to education and gender equity.

  • Organize groups of local university student volunteers to provide educational support in the Mobile School, focusing on the personal development of children
  • Conduct educational-artistic sessions led by student volunteers

  • Implement reading stimulation sessions through storytelling activities for children
  • Offer practical workshops on horticultural techniques in family gardens for children attending the Mobile School
