Background Information

Bethlehem is experiencing a chronic state of emergency, and now the war between Israel and Hamas has worsened the socio-economic crisis. There is no support for unemployment, retirement, or an accessible public health system for the most vulnerable. Basic resources such as education, water, and health services are scarce or very expensive. People with special needs receive no assistance.

Hogar Niño Dios, managed by the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word, was founded in 2005 to provide a family for orphaned children with special needs. It currently accommodates 36 individuals, ranging from 2 to 57 years old, with various illnesses and special needs, and employs 16 people from the local community (14 women). The home has numerous expenses and caregiving tasks, making it essential to optimize resources and time to provide the best possible care to the residents.
