Justification

The Covid-19 has generated a change of context in El Salvador; Socio-economic vulnerability in the municipalities of Aguilares, El Paísnal and San Pablo Tacachico, is more visible and felt by community organizations, women’s organizations, cooperative associations, the general population and, above all, women who are under a variety of serious problems ( loss of identity, low self-esteem, migration within or outside the country, joining gangs and committing criminal acts, alcoholism or drug addiction problems, early maternity or paternity, infectious diseases, sexual violence, intra-family violence …). For this reason, the importance of strengthening capacities in social and economic organizations, in the general population and in the group of women, to demand and attend to fundamental human rights, especially economic and social, that meets the immediate and strategic needs and interests of the selected population.

Objectives

General Objective: Contribute to the socioeconomic development of the population of the municipalities of Aguilares and El Paisnal, enhancing organizational, productive and business management capacities, through the equitable inclusion and efficient use of the resources available in the municipalities, in the new context of pandemic. by Covid-19.

Specific Objective: Strengthen the business and organizational management and the productive chain of the Cooperative Association of women ACOMADEGUA de RL, with equitable inclusion and with an efficient and sustainable use of the resources available in the municipalities, so that they are agents of their own development , in the new context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Activities:

  • Execution of 9 training modules.

  • Development of 2 field trips. Purchase of construction materials for the construction of 10 new pig farms Establishment of 10 family pig production systems and 10 biodigesters. Purchase of pigs and supplies.

  • Implementation of prophylactic plans. Agricultural and veterinary technical support. Monitoring of obtaining the health permit for the operation of the processing plant.

  • Purchase of materials and equipment for the processing of sausages. Pork processing to obtain 4 products (Premium Chorizo, Popular Chorizo, Pork Rib, Chicharrones). Updating and execution of the business plan.
